What we collect
When you fill the seller-signup form, we collect the details you enter: shop name, your name and role, mobile number (and whether it's on WhatsApp), email (optional), your shop address (address lines, locality, city, state, pincode), business category, and the optional details about your business. We do not collect any payment information, and we never ask for an advance payment.
Why we collect it
Solely to evaluate and contact you about becoming a seller on sopselo — our team uses these details to reach out (by phone, WhatsApp, or email) and to set up your shop if you choose to proceed. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated advertising.
Pincode lookup
To help you fill the form, your pincode is sent to a public postal API (api.postalpincode.in) to auto-fill city and state. No other personal details are shared with it.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored securely in our database hosted in India, encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to our team.
Your choices
Providing your details is voluntary, and you consent to this use by submitting the form. You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp. We keep your details only as long as needed to consider and onboard you as a seller.
