What we collect

When you fill the seller-signup form, we collect the details you enter: shop name, your name and role, mobile number (and whether it's on WhatsApp), email (optional), your shop address (address lines, locality, city, state, pincode), business category, and the optional details about your business. We do not collect any payment information, and we never ask for an advance payment.

Why we collect it

Solely to evaluate and contact you about becoming a seller on sopselo — our team uses these details to reach out (by phone, WhatsApp, or email) and to set up your shop if you choose to proceed. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated advertising.

Pincode lookup

To help you fill the form, your pincode is sent to a public postal API (api.postalpincode.in) to auto-fill city and state. No other personal details are shared with it.

Analytics & cookies

With your consent (via the cookie banner), we use our own first-party analytics to understand how the site is used and to tell real visitors from bots. This may collect: your IP address, approximate location (city/region/country derived from your IP), device and browser information (user-agent, operating system, screen and window size, language, timezone, and similar), the pages you view, the referring site and any campaign (UTM) tags, and basic interaction signals. We set a first-party cookie/identifier to recognise repeat visits. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we cannot and do not collect your MAC address or precise GPS location (a browser never exposes those without a separate, explicit permission you would be asked for).
